THis year we will be uploading a monthly newsletter to keep parents and students up to date on all the goings-on! one will be uploaded at the beginning of every month and there will be printed copies available in the Drama ROom. Also below is a letter from Mrs. hall with a few announcements regarding the parents meeting put on by the LCHs thespian booster club!
ATTENTION: This Thursday (May 1) is going to be the LAST Thespian meeting of this year!!! Seniors: that means this is your last Thespian meeting EVER. Besides a lot of fun, we will be discussing food and specific details for our LCHS Thespian Banquet, which is on May 4th. All Thespians will have received a physical invitation with time and place.
Again: please please PLEASE attend this meeting! Hey everyone! We didn't have much to talk about at the meeting, but there were a few things you need to know!
Pictures. As always, send Shelby (either via Facebook or email) pictures that you've taken at Thespian events! Along with that, SENIORS: for our special slideshow that will show at the banquet, Shelby needs 3-4 pictures of you. The first needs to be a baby picture, the second or third needs to be an awkward elementary/middle school picture, and the last will be a fabulous senior portrait! Get those to her ASAP. The deadline for entering points for the 2013-2014 school year is Monday, March 17. After that, you have to wait until next year to earn points because we need to order letters and such by the end of March. Dues-paid seniors: this is your final chance to enter points ever. On Monday, March 24, SENIORS, we'll be having a meeting to discuss honor chords. Next week, on Thursday after testing, we're going to have an unofficial meeting at a park. Time and place TBA. Make sure you support your fellow Thespians by going to our week of Class Shows! These are plays that the Drama students rehearse in their drama period. We all work really hard on them, so please come attend! Specific dates for classes as well as production titles will be placed on the calendar (and a news post.) The shows are definitely happening April 1-5. Hello everyone! It's been quite awhile since there's been an announcement from a Thespian meeting.
We don't actually have that much to do until March and April, but there is a MANDATORY Safe Teen Assembly on Monday, February 24. It starts officially at 6pm in the gym. Students only need to go with one club if they're in more than one sport/club. Again, this assembly is mandatory for students in clubs and sports. For the Thespians, we'll be meeting in the drama room (A-1). In order to make this a more social event, we'll be having cookies and lemonade starting at 5:30! Please be there as soon as you can since we HAVE to be in the gym by 6. So everyone please bring cookies and lemonade! Be careful not to bring cookies with nuts, though, just to be safe. Pictures. Everyone is still HIGHLY encouraged to send Shelby Bazan pictures they've taken from this school year. The pictures will be in our end of the year slideshow! Along with pictures, since we're coming up on May, we do something special with the seniors. In order to get a head start, we ask that seniors send Shelby three or four pictures that start with a baby picture (then one or two "middle" pictures) and end with a senior portrait. These will be put in a cute little senior slide show that will be presented at our banquet. Also on the same not as pictures, Mr. Busbey (Owen's dad) has taken many grand pictures from Denver up until now. These pictures include Denver, State, and The Music Man! All of the pictures are on a CD that will be circulating throughout the Thespians. Anyone is welcome to borrow the CD in order to rip it onto their computer. Otherwise, you could bring a CD to school and burn it from Ms. Hall's computer. Lastly, I remind everyone to update their Thespian points! You can only do this if you've paid your dues. Points get you cool things like a Thespian card, a letter, etc. We do have a Thespian Meeting next week, which is February 27. Tell everyone! Make sure you tell everyone about this post so they can be caught up on the latest! Friendly reminder that we have our club picture tomorrow, Thursday, December 12th, at 9:00am in the gym. Ms. Hall can give you a pass to get out of your class. WEAR YOUR THESPIAN SHIRTS OKAY EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE FROM THIS YEAR WEAR ONE FROM A PREVIOUS YEAR OR THE ONE SHELBY AND ADELINA MADE FOR YOU.
